Fred discovers a dead body in an alleyway. Already emotionally fragile he begins to doubt his sanity. Then the telephone starts to ring....."Bystander" was produced in the spring of 1998 as part of the degree course in Media Production at the University of Northumbria at Newcastle. It was shot on the DVCpro digital video format, with with sound recorded on DAT, titles generated in Adobe Photoshop and edited and mixed on AvidExpress. It was the first all digital film made at the university.
